While we anxiously await Layla's next litter (which is literally any hour now), we thought we would do a check in with her first litter and see how all her pups have been. We have been blown away by the pictures and brags on these pups. We are using their litter names to make it easier if you want to go back to their puppy blog and see them as newborns. We have been blown away with the similar temperaments and characters (and characteristics) they all share. We LOVE seeing the beautiful dogs the pups grew up to be with their amazing families and know this next litter will not disappoint either. Enjoy the corgi-spam!!!
"Bass"
"Bass" (now Nixie) loves to play with her cat sister and when she runs we call it her “rhino charge.” She doesn’t like it when people sneeze, of all things, and she barks like she’s saying “that noise is unauthorized!” She also likes to tell on her cat sister when she gets on the kitchen counter (where she’s not supposed to be) - she will come running to one of us barking “look! Look!” So we will fuss at the cat.
She’s a sweet, cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and neighborhood walks. - Dawn D.
"Louise"
From "Louise's" Fun-mama, Megan - How exciting that more fur babies are on the way! I hope Layla is doing well and will happily share an update and some pictures of Evie/"Louise" (in fact, we call her "Evelyn Louise" when she is being a little naughty, so her litter name lives on!).
My husband and I feel so lucky to have such an easy and smart dog, and we are so thankful she was so well socialized from birth. She was the star of puppy classes and our trainer even remarked on what an exceptional temperament she has—she loves to socialize with other dogs (and humans!) and is incredibly gentle and unreactive, a “bomb-proof dog.” We both credit all the loving affection she received at Westlynn for ensuring this great start.
Evie loves to herd her family members into the same room in the house so she can then boop and tug at will. She is exceptionally sweet and affectionate—she rests her head on us while we work, gives hugs and kisses, and is very expressive, getting chatty when she wants to make a point. She keeps a close eye on other dogs in the neighborhood from a window perch, which is mostly a quiet activity, except when she sees certain friends go by—just too much temptation! She sploots on pretty much every surface she can find and frequently sleeps on her back, often in some sort of cave, like under the bed. Having a corgi in the pack is truly the best thing ever!
"Sawyer"
This handsome love-bug, "Sawyer" (now Bumper), is a playful pup and ALL boy, He is like a cartoon character, always in some silly situation, like the time he defended the tree from the train:
and the time he ate a bee:
Bumper likes to talk back and does his happy mouth snaps all of the time. He is our special little boy and the favorite child (as his human girls like to joke). He is a really good boy who loves to cuddle, sploot and is also very smart. - Alice
